As an Independent Living Assistant for over 20 years, Karen Kyle brings with her a wealth of experience working with people who have physical disabilities including: Multiple Sclerosis, Duchene’s Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig`s Disease), Friedreich’s ataxia, Spina Bifida, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Parkinson and Alzheimer. She also brings with her 12 years of experience working as a deafblind Intervenor.

The current market trends she saw for people living with a disability were a decline in activity, motivation and individual peer support. Wanting to break through these barriers, she introduced a group fitness program in 2008 for persons living with a disability through Tobias House; this was to promote a more active and positive lifestyle. Since 2006, she has also done one-on-one personal training with the special population and has assisted in a higher level of independence for her clients. She has taken on the position of Group Fitness Instructor for the Stroke Recovery Chapter at the March of Dimes and feels confident that she can make a difference in these people’s lives. Karen also works out of a corporate gym as an active Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer.  She teaches cycling, kettlebell, stability ball, pump, bootcamp and circuit training daily.

Karen has enabled her clients to break through the boundaries of their perceived physical limitations by facilitating participation in physical activity. Her empowering energy motivates you to strive for success!
